Have your say on Tackling Climate Change Together

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is hosting two public engagement events to discuss how we can ‘Tackle Climate Change Together’ to improve the lives of everyone and everything in our District. They will provide an opportunity for local people to help shape the future work that the Council take forward.

The Council was the first Council in Northern Ireland to approve a Climate Change and Sustainable Development Strategy. We are committed to achieving a Net Zero District by 2042, as well as creating sustainable communities, a sustainable Council and a sustainable environment.

However, we cannot achieve this alone and  we need the opinions of our local residents, community groups and businesses.

The aim of the events is to engage with people of all ages to discuss ideas on how to ensure that our District is climate resilient. Through these events, we aim to encourage and empower communities to participate in Council engagement structures and initiatives.

The events will take place on:

Wednesday 15 February 2023
Time: 6:30pm
Venue: The Townhall, Enniskillen.

Wednesday 8 March 2023
Time: 6:30pm
Venue: The Grange, Omagh

The events are open to anyone aged 16 years or over.
