Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown

The Bawnacre Centre, located in Irvinestown, is a Leisure, Youth and Community Centre. Please scroll down to view classes and activities available at the Bawnacre Centre.

Outdoor facilities include:
– Full size 3G Gaelic games and multi-sports pitch – please note: no steel, metal or aluminium blades or studs to be worn
– Grass playing fields
– 4 flood lit tennis courts
– 2 mini-tennis courts
– International size flood-lit synthetic pitch
– Children’s play park

Indoor facilities include:
– Large multi-purpose Main Hall and Stage – accommodates 900
– Minor Hall – accommodates 300
– Small Hall – accommodates 150

Monday – Friday 10am – 10:30pm
Saturday 10am – 6pm

Youth soccer coaching
Every Saturday on the Big 3G Pitch
Registration at 10.15 am
Coaching at 10.30 am
P4 to P7 boys and girls and also post primary school children under 15 years.
No metal studs/blades are permitted on the pitch.

Junior Hockey Coaching
Every Thursday
6.30 pm until 7.30 pm P4, P5, P6 and P7 girls;
7.30 pm until 8.30 pm Year8 to Year 11.
All equipment will be supplied.

Mini Indoor Tennis in Main Hall
Every Tuesday
at 4 pm and 5 pm.
All equipment will be supplied.

Irish Dance Class
Every Friday
5.45 pm until 7 pm Beginners
7-8.30 pm Advance dancers.
Tuition by Anne Marie McGirr ADCRG & Alice McGirr TCRG.

Karate classes
Every Tuesday:
7 pm Juniors 7-13 years
8 pm cadets 13-17 years
8 pm adults

Traditional Music Class
Every Monday
Classes at 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
Tuition by All Ireland Champion teacher available on: fiddle; flute; whistle; concertina; button accordion; banjo and bodhran.

Adult Art Class
Every Wednesday 7.30 pm
with Edward McNulty

Weight Watchers healthy living class
Every Wednesday at 6.30 pm

Age Concern
Every Wednesday
1 pm Delicious lunch

Please note:

Footwear on artificial pitches
Strictly no metal blades or studs to be worn on the 3G Pitches.
No boots of any sort are permitted on the Hockey Pitch.

Non attendance at any class should be advised in advance to the Gymnastics Team in the Centre, otherwise 2 failures to advise will result in loss of place.
