COVID-19 Update

The team in Fermanagh & Omagh continue to support current and potential new participants through telecommunications.  Support is being provided through an allocated mentor who will support by seeking out current employment opportunities, creating or refining a CV, completing application forms, helping with interview preparation and support to complete online skills training and qualifications.
The ASPIRE team are continuing to assist those  looking for paid work. The ASPIRE Programme operates in partnership with the Western Health & Social Care Trust, the Education Authority for the Western Region and delivery partner Fermanagh Rural Community Initiative.

ASPIRE is the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council led employability Programme supporting people into paid employment. The employability initiative, which is part funded by the  Northern Ireland European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020 and the Department for the Economy, provides assistance to anyone aged 16 years and over who is currently unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week and is seeking paid work.


The ASPIRE programme which will continue to support participants across the district over a 4 year period offers a tailored support package with a range of free learning and training opportunities in fields such as:

  • Classroom Support
  • Care and Support work
  • Finance
  • Business Administration
  • Health and Well-being

In addition, ASPIRE also offer individual and tailored support that includes:

  • CV Development
  • Personal Mentoring
  • Training and Qualifications
  • Work Experience Placement
  • Tailored Actions Plans
  • Employability Boosters: Application Form support, Interview Skills and Job Search support.
