ASPIRE Training and Employment

ASPIRE is the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council led employability Programme supporting people into paid employment. The employability initiative, is part funded by the Northern Ireland European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020 and the Department for the Economy. The ASPIRE Employability Programme operates in partnership with the Western Health & Social Care Trust, the Education Authority for the Western Region and delivery partner Fermanagh Rural Community Initiative.

What is ASPIRE?

The ASPIRE Programme provides assistance to anyone aged sixteen or over and currently unemployed, underemployed or in not full-time education through a range of FREE tailored support packages.

These packages of support can include enrolment onto training courses that lead to professional qualifications, gaining valuable work experience, assistance in completing application forms, helping with interview preparation and the creation or updating of a CV all done with the guidance of an allocated mentor.

• Refresher Forklift Licence Training
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• OCN Social Media
• IAB 1 Computerised Bookkeeping
• IAB Level 1 Award in Payroll for Business
• IT User Skills

In addition, ASPIRE also offers individual and tailored support to include:

• CV Development
• Application Form Support
• Interview Skills Assistance
• Work Experience Placement
• Tailored Actions Plan

COVID 19 Update - September 2021

The ASPIRE Team continues to adapt to meet the needs of both current and new participants on the programme.  In line with COVID 19 regulations we are able to facilitate a limited number of face-to-face meetings which are being held strictly by appointment only. Our training centres have been modified and adapted to meet COVID guidelines and are able to offer in person training at a reduced capacity. 

Support is still available online with an allocated mentor who can support you by seeking out current employment opportunities, creating or refining a CV, completing application forms, helping with interview preparation and support completing professional training and certified qualifications
