ASPIRE Work Placement

The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council led programme ASPIRE has a strong tradition and reputation of providing placement opportunities to programme participants which has been mutually beneficial to the participant and to the host business.

If your business could offer an opportunity to help develop a skilled workforce by offering a work experience placement to one of our participants for a minimum of 16 hours per week, and for up to six months, we would love to hear from you.

Provision of a work placement opportunity could bring much needed help as we emerge from the Covid pandemic and benefit the owner with additional staff but also the participant who gains valuable work experience in the current difficult employment climate. Participants are keen to learn and undertake these placements in a voluntary capacity in return for on the job training and experience.

Examples of placements opportunities could include;

• An office administrator to assist with managing the backlog caused by office closures.
• A role in tourism or hospitality to help during another busy staycation season
• Customer Service/Retail Role
• Driving/Delivery Roles

Our participants are from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups from those starting out, to graduates, to those returning to work after caring for family and to those who have been made redundant.
