  • Can I complete the training online or do I have to attend classes?

    Since the onset of the pandemic ASPIRE have adopted a blended approach to training, meaning participants can avail of both online and in-person classes. Don’t worry if you don’t have access to a computer at home as we can get you access in our office.

  • Can I join ASPIRE if I'm on Maternity leave or sick leave from my employer?

    If you are under a full-time contract and going back into the same employment you would not be able to join ASPIRE. Contact ASPIRE to discuss your situation on 028 8224 6535 (Omagh) or 028 6632 6478 (Enniskillen).

  • Do I get a certificate at the end of it?

    That depends on the courses that you complete. ASPIRE offers accredited training which will get you a certificate and non-accredited training that increases your knowledge and skills

  • Can you help me with finding a job?

    Our Project Officers are more than happy to help you find a job that is tailored to your career goals. We offer CV building, interview training, guidance with application forms and any other support you require to help you have a successful job search.

  • Can I apply if I am currently receiving Benefits or Universal Credit?

    Yes, you can join the ASPIRE programme if you are currently receiving Benefits or Universal Credit. This will not affect your income.
    You can also join if you are not currently in receipt of benefits such as Universal Credit as long as you are not currently in full-time employment or education and are over 16 years of age.

  • Do participants undertake work placement?

    Participants are offered the opportunity to gain work experience if it meets their needs, however it's not a requirement of the programme.
    ASPIRE has a strong tradition and reputation for providing work experience placement opportunities to participants which has been mutually beneficial to the participant & the business. The team assist you with finding a suitable placement that benefits your long-term career goals.
    Work placements are tailored to each individual participant and the area of work they would like to get into. Past placements have included local schools, retail & offices.

  • How much does it cost to participate in ASPIRE?

    It’s FREE! to participants. ASPIRE is part funded through the Northern Ireland European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020 and the Department for the Economy so we are able to offer free places on the ASPIRE programme to those who meet the eligibility criteria.
    Participants do not receive payments for taking part in ASPIRE. However, if you are currently receiving Universal Credit or other benefits your income will not be affected by being on the ASPIRE programme.

  • Who is eligible to take part in ASPIRE?

    If you are a resident of the Fermanagh and Omagh district who is over 16, currently unemployed, economically inactive, or working part time and hoping to increase your hours then ASPIRE could be for you. Our Project Officers can discuss how the ASPIRE programme can be tailored to your individual needs.
    If you are in full time education or taking part in another ESF funded course you would not be eligible to join ASPIRE.

  • What is ASPIRE?

    ASPIRE is a Fermanagh & Omagh District Council led Employability Programme supporting people into paid employment.
    We offer CV building, interview training, Level One qualifications, work experience placements and any other support you require to help you have a successful job search. Courses are ongoing; you can start at any time and complete over a timeframe that suits you.
