Shaping the Local Economy Business Seminar

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is hosting a lunchtime Business Seminar in the Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen at 12 noon on Tuesday 20 June 2017.

The seminar forms part of the Council’s sponsorship of Ulster University’s Economic Policy Centre.

Dr Eoin Magennis, Senior Economist at the Policy Centre, will deliver a presentation on Shaping the Local Economy which will look at the global economic and political drivers and the future direction of the local economy. The presentation will use the Spring 2017 Northern Ireland and Local Government forecasts to illustrate scenarios for the local economy in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.

The presentation will also incorporate both the Council’s Tourism Development Strategy and Economic Development Plan 2016-2019. Langfield Primary School pupils plant new hedgerow

As part of its local Biodiversity Action Plan, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, is committed to the restoration of old hedgerows and the creation of new ones across the district and has recently been working with pupils from Langfield Primary School, Drumquin on the planting of a new hedgerow in the school grounds.
