Registration opens for Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk

The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk will take place on Saturday 11 June 2016.

Organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and supported by Enniskillen Rotary Club and the National Trust, the race, which has a £1,500 prize fund, will start at 2.00 pm at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen.

Launching details of this year’s Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk, Vice-Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Paul Robinson, said:

“The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk is one of the district’s largest mass participation events with participants coming from near and far to take part.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to encouraging everyone in the district to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk is an event in which the entire family can participate.

We look forward to welcoming local residents and visitors to Enniskillen for the 10k event on 11 June.”

Various children’s activities will be available from 11.00 am with the Kiddies Fun Run starting at 12 noon.

This year, the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk has been included within the Novosco 10k Grand Prix which is a multi-race running competition involving 13 10k races across Northern Ireland from March to November 2016. Enniskillen 10k participants can start to make preparations for this year’s event by taking part in the Enniskillen Parkrun, a weekly 5k running and walking event which takes place at Castle Coole, National Trust estate, Enniskillen on Saturday mornings, to improve fitness levels.
