Launching the 2016 Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum Awards, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Mary Garrity, said:

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in partnership with Fermanagh & Omagh Sports Forum, is delighted to launch the 2016 Sports Awards. The awards are a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the success of our local sporting talent. I encourage residents to get involved and submit their nomination to the awards.”

Speaking about this year’s Sports Awards, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum, Bernie Fox, said:

“The Sports Awards gives us an opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication of our sports women, men, girls and boys.  It is fitting that the awards also recognise the important role of coaches and volunteers and we look forward to receiving award nominations from members of the public over the coming weeks.”

It is not necessary to submit a number of nominations for one candidate as the final shortlist of nominees will be compiled by Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum and will not be based on the number of nominations received.

Award winners will be announced at the Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum Awards evening at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, on Friday 10 February 2017.

For further information and nomination forms visit the Sports Awards section of the Council website.
