Inclusive walks featured as part of the Council’s Autumn programme

Autumn Programme Walks

Published: 6th October 2017

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, as part of its Autumn activity programme, has organised two inclusive walks to encourage members of the public to get out and active this autumn.

The walks will take on Monday 16 October 2017 at the Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen from 9.45am and Monday 23 October 2017 at Omagh Leisure Complex from 10.15am.

Each of the inclusive walks are dedicated to those with disabilities and are accessible for wheelchair users, however, wheelchair users will require assistance along various lengths of the route.

Speaking about the forthcoming inclusive walking events, the Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Stephen McCann, said; “I would encourage people who would like to get out and more active to avail of the opportunity to participate in these two inclusive walks. It is important that we find the time to embrace a more healthy lifestyle and these gentle walks are the ideal “first step”.”

Places on each of the inclusive walks are limited with places allocated on a first come, first served basis.
