Expressions of Interest sought for Festival Lough Erne 2018

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from craft and food producers and street food vendors to take part in the fourth annual Festival Lough Erne which is taking place this year on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September 2018 in the magnificent grounds of Enniskillen Castle.

As with previous years, local producers with a hygiene rating of 4 and 5 will be given preference.

Expressions of interest are also being sought for the provision of bar services over the two days and as part of the entertainment programme, local school and community choirs and bands are also welcome to apply to perform at the event.

The closing date for receipt of Expression of Interest forms is Thursday 31 May 2018.

Speaking at a photocall to promote the Festival, Councillor Alex Baird, Vice-Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, said “As an elected representative and member of Destination Fermanagh, I am delighted that Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in partnership with other key stakeholders, has, once again, undertaken to organise Festival Lough Erne. It has in previous years provided a wonderful vehicle to highlight the quality of our food and superb waterways and I encourage all local producers to avail of this opportunity to showcase their produce.”

This year the Festival will host the Enniskillen Regatta and Lough Erne Championship, with the support and assistance of Lough Erne Heritage,  in which crews in Erne Cots.  Racing will take place along the waterways between the Broadmeadow and Castle Island.
