‘Exporting Is Great’ hub to visit Enniskillen

Published: 6th May 2016

As part of the year-long “Exporting is Great Campaign”, the Export Hub – a purpose built touring truck featuring flexible meeting space and a video conferencing room where businesses can connect with and talk to a network of overseas advisers about doing business in different markets – is coming to the Fermanagh and Omagh district.

Invest NI is bringing the Exporting is Great Hub to five locations in Northern Ireland and will be located in the car park of the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum in Enniskillen from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm on Tuesday 17 May.

The high-tech facility which is visiting select regions of the UK will have experts on hand to offer face to face advice to first time exporters.  The truck uses the latest technology and businesses visiting the venue will be offered a wealth of advice and guidance to start new exporters on their journey to export success, including finding the right markets and getting ready to export.

In welcoming the visit of the Export Hub to Enniskillen, the Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly said this was an ideal opportunity for local businesses to attend seminars, access real time export opportunities across the world and meet with Invest NI advisors who can answer questions on exporting on the day.

“To secure sustainable growth businesses need to be prepared to sell into export markets.  Encouraging and supporting our businesses to source and secure business opportunities in new markets will not only assist export growth but contribute to local regeneration,” Councillor O’Reilly said.

“If businesses want to export or are looking for new export opportunities they should visit the Hub to find out more.  Each session at the Hub will offer practical advice SMEs should consider when exporting and a raft of valuable information can be gleaned from the experts who will be on hand on the day”, he added.
