Visitors to the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh had the opportunity to find out more about the diversity of cultures within the Fermanagh and Omagh district at a multi-cultural event at the Park on Saturday 17 June 2017.

‘A Taste of Culture’, a family friendly event organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council with support from a number of partner organisations, introduced people to the rich cultural heritage of the district through storytelling, rhyme time, crafts, music and dance.

People also had the opportunity to discover more about the variety of cultures, traditions and languages that are found within the district through sampling of traditional Irish, American, Filipino, Polish, Hungarian, Chinese, Malaysian and Spanish cuisine, conversation and a showcase of multi-cultural entertainment.

‘A Taste of Culture’ was organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council in partnership with the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies; Libraries NI; National Museums NI; Omagh Ethnic Communities Support Group and Women of the World. This project has received financial support from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Good Relations programme assisted by The Executive Office.
