Entries Open for Enniskillen 10k

The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk will take place this year on Saturday 10 June 2017 commencing at 2.00pm.

The event, organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and supported by Enniskillen Rotary Club and the National Trust, carries a prize fund of £1,500.

Entrants can now register online by logging on to www.enniskillen10k.com. Participants who register before Wednesday 10 May 2017 will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £100 vouchers (one male and one female winner) for a local sports shop.

Launching this year’s Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Mary Garrity, said;

“The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk is one of the district’s largest mass participation events with participants coming from near and far to take part.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to encouraging everyone in the district to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle and the Enniskillen 10k is an event in which the entire family can participate.

We look forward to welcoming local residents and visitors to Enniskillen for the 10k on Saturday 10 June 2017.”

As part of the event a Kiddies Fun Run will also take place outside the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen at 12 noon on the day.

This year, the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk has been included within the Novosco Grand Prix Series which is a multi – race competition involving fifteen 10k races in Northern Ireland running from March to November 2017 with a range of prizes. The weekly parkruns in Enniskillen and Omagh can help participants make preparations for the Enniskillen 10k. The parkruns, which comprise a 5k run, jog or walk, take place at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen and Omagh Leisure Complex at 9.30 am on Saturday mornings to help improve fitness levels.
