Digital marketing workshops at Enterprise Week

Published: 19th February 2016

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted with the response from businesses to its first ever Enterprise Week but has announced there are still a few places remaining on some of the digital seminars and workshops.

The week-long event which commences on Monday next, 29 February is offering an array of topical and relevant workshops, seminars and training for the local business community and covering a wide range of business topics.

A spokesman for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said that the Council was delighted with the interest in Enterprise Week, an exciting event aimed at all business sectors including anyone considering starting a business, established SMEs, etc who want to learn and grow their business.

While most events are now almost fully booked, places are still available on “Measuring the Effectiveness of Your Business Website” which is being held in Fermanagh Enterprise Ltd on Monday 29 February from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and again in Omagh Enterprise Company Ltd on Thursday 3 March also from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The workshops will be conducted by Aine Bermingham of Utter Digital who has years of experience in the digital marketing sector.  Aine has delivered training to hundreds of businesses to help them to flourish and expand in this ever increasing digital age.

The workshops will focus primarily on Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools to allow businesses to effectively measure whether their website is actually working efficiently.  The training will also demonstrate what business owners need to measure, where to find statistics and how to use them to improve their website’s performance.

Some spaces are also on offer for the very valuable “E-Commerce Workshops” being delivered by renowned eBay specialist Michael Hughes, in two sessions at the Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh on Wednesday 2 March.. The first session, from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, will focus on those with a basic e-commerce knowledge, while the session commencing at 3:00pm will be for those with more advanced, in-depth knowledge of e-commerce Michael Hughes is the first eBay trained and accredited education specialist in Ireland and has achieved five-star instruction rating – the highest possible ranking in the UK and Ireland.  He was also awarded the prestigious title of Instructor of the Week Worldwide.

Speaking about these events a spokesperson for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said: “digital methods are a rapidly growing force in the current playing field.  They are faster, more versatile, practical and can reach a wider audience”.

“The Council is delighted to have secured two such prestigious speakers as Aine Bermingham and Michael Hughes to deliver workshops as part of our Enterprise Week, and their combined wealth of knowledge in the digital field will reap untold benefits to our local businesses.

“As spaces are limited I would urge businesses to book a place for these free events as they offer the opportunity for participants to gain a great deal of information and knowledge in this digital era,” the spokesman added.
