COORDINATES exhibition to blur lines between art and science

Andy Roche Coordinates exhibition

Published: 22nd March 2016

An exhibition of new works by Leitrim based artist Andy Roche opens at the Higher Bridges Gallery, Enniskillen on Friday 1 April 2016 at 7.00 pm.

The ‘COORDINATES’ exhibition has been inspired by the artist’s study of theoretical physics; sacred geometry; Kabbalah; I Ching and other systems of divinatory wisdom. It includes a collection of paintings, prints, installations and sculptures which explore paradox and the union of opposites; often blurring the lines between art and science.

With many of the collection’s materials displaying reflective qualities, the exhibition gives people the unique opportunity to become part of the artwork in an unexpected and playful way.

COORDINATES opens on Friday 1 April 2016 at 7.00 pm in the Higher Bridges Gallery and continues until Saturday 30 April 2016. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The Higher Bridges Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm and Saturday 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. The gallery is located in the Clinton Centre, on Belmore Street, Enniskillen.

For further information about the exhibition please contact Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Arts Office on 0300 303 1777 or arts@fermanaghomagh.com.
