Lunchtime musical repertoire to celebrate 30 years of The Ardhowen

Published: 3rd May 2016

The Ardhowen, Fermanagh’s Theatre, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in May.

To mark the occasion, the lakeside theatre will host musical lunchtime repertoires with the Bob Quick and Jim McDermott Trios performing classics from the Great American Songbook. Performances will take place from Monday 16 to Friday 20 May 2016, 12 noon to 2.30 pm.

A special lunchtime menu, with 30 per cent discount, will be available during these times in The Ardhowen’s restaurant. Lunch reservations are not required.

A retrospective exhibition to mark the theatre’s opening in 1986 will also be on display.

The Ardhowen, which is a service provided by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, was officially opened by the late playwright, Brian Friel, on Friday 16 May 1986.

Since then, The Ardhowen has played host to almost one performance every other day and continues to provide a platform for amateur, professional and community arts events and performances.
