Published: 1st April 2016

The Department of the Environment’s one-off payment scheme of £1,000 for small businesses, recreational and community facilities and places of worship that have suffered severe inconvenience as a result of flooding, during the period 7 November 2015 to 31 January 2016 is open for application from Monday 4 April – Saturday 30 April 2016.

The scheme is also available to farm businesses where land has been significantly affected as a result of sustained high levels on Lough Neagh and Upper Lough Erne during the period between 7 November 2015 and 31 January 2016.

Councils across Northern Ireland have been tasked with administering the scheme on behalf of the Department. The £1,000 payment is a contribution towards practical assistance, and not a compensation payment.
