At the Heart of your Celebrations

The annual St Patrick’s Day festival returns to Omagh Town Centre on Sunday 17 March 2024 featuring everything from music, song, dance, a parade, family fun and more!

Delivered by Urban Events NI, the exciting event is an enjoyable day out for all. The music begins at the Community Stage outside Danske Bank in the town centre with Omagh’s treasured St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band, followed by Dromore and Fintona CCÉ, Urban Motion, and more.

Entertainment on the Court House Stage commences at 1pm with local traditional group Síle, followed by performances from All Ireland Fleadh Champions from Fintona CCÉ,  The Coves and a Special Guest performance from a young lady making a big impression as a Taylor Swift tribute act, Taylor Made!  There is something for everyone.

Omagh Town Centre will also come to life with Jigsaw Farm, Exploris Aquarium Touch Tank, Characters and Family Heritage Trail with a fun packed day of entertainment also taking place in Strule Arts Centre from 1pm – 4pm.

Overlooking the Strule River relax in Strule Café as you listen to local group Clann na hÓmaí and browse through the delightful ‘Veritas Vincet’ exhibition celebrating the 120th anniversary of Omagh Academy.

In the Auditorium at Strule Arts Centre, join in the interactive Djambe Drumming try it workshops facilitated by Aidan Dunphy, Celtic Sand Mandalas with Thai Arts NI, performance from Three Rivers Choir and an open Cultural Youth Session facilitated by CCÉ Youth Officer Eíle Smyth.  These activities are open to everyone who would like to join in to play a tune, sing a song, dance or tell a yarn.

Get creative with St Patrick’s Day Arts and Crafts in the Art Workshop or sit back, relax and watch the beautiful Academy Award Nominee short, animated movie ‘The Secret of Kells’ at 3pm.

There is so much to keep you entertained as you wait to see the return of the St Patrick’s Day parade as it weaves through the Town Centre at 2.30pm, leaving from Drumragh Avenue continuing on to Market Street, High Street and John Street, finishing at Church Street.

Enjoy something to eat at any of Omagh’s hospitality venues or the Food Court with local food traders outside Strule Arts Centre.

A quiet room will be available in Strule Arts Centre, should you or a family member require some time out from the excitement of the day.  Also, within Strule Arts Centre, Changing Places and baby changing facilities are available.

Traffic diversions will be in place to facilitate the event.  All normal town centre car parks will be open with FREE parking on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 March 2024.

A limited number of accessible car parking spaces for Blue Badge holders can be reserved at the rear of Strule Arts Centre.
