Travel information issued to motorists for St Patrick’s Day, Omagh

Final preparations for St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Omagh on Sunday 17 March 2019 are currently underway.

Omagh town centre will come alive with colour, music and dance on 17 March as Fermanagh and Omagh District Council hosts the annual St Patrick’s Day parade, starting at 1.30pm.  A range of free family music, dance and entertainment will also be on offer in the town centre from 1pm – 5pm.

Omagh town centre will remain open for business throughout the festivities however motorists are advised to expect some disruption with diversions in place from 1.30pm for the duration of the parade.

The carnival parade will follow a circular route, starting at Sedan Avenue passing along Drumragh Avenue before continuing on to Market Street, High Street, John Street, across Church Street, down George Street, High Street, Bridge Street and back to South West College along Sedan Avenue.
