With the Live stream “Christmas from Strule Arts Centre” programme now well under way with hundreds of viewers tuning in to the venue’s facebook page to enjoy festive favourites from the comfort of their own home, we are delighted to welcome back to Strule Arts Centre, perennial children’s favourite, Tom Sweeney, with his annual ‘Christmas Cracker’ show for all the family.

The theatre normally resounds to the cheers of a packed auditorium for Tom’s yearly feast of seasonal songs and stories which is so much a part of Strule Arts Centre’s Christmas programme but this year’s concert will be different in that it will be presented virtually from Café Strule for you to join in from home.

“At one stage I thought the show wouldn’t run this year”, says Tom, “but through the foresight of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and the staff here at Strule Arts Centre, I am truly delighted to be able to share the Christmas music with families everywhere”.

Music is a medium to lift the heart particularly during these difficult times and Tom’s Christmas fun filled musical extravaganza will undoubtedly have a positive impact on all those who join him from home for the show.

Tom’s Christmas Cracker will be live streamed free from Strule Arts Centre face book page on Saturday 12 December at 3pm.  Everyone is invited to sing along – could there be a better way for a family to spend a Saturday afternoon than in the company of one of Omagh’s foremost entertainers in your own home.

Later that evening at 8pm you are invited to tune in again for the very talented local singer Sinead Taggart joined by the accomplished singer/musician Plunkett McGartland.  This wonderful duo will be performing a mixture of festive favourites, country and folk music, a night not to be missed.

The Christmas from Strule Arts Centre live stream programme will continue over the weeks ahead with a very special visit from Santa Claus himself with a virtual Christmas message for all the children out there on Saturday 19 December at 4pm.  This will be followed by Larry Lowe Music performing in ‘El Tres Hombres’ at 8pm a lively trio singing a mixture of pop and rock hits for the 90’s and more.

With shows scheduled by Dominic and Barry Kirwan and Guests, The Whistlin’ Donkeys and many more, please see next week’s newspapers and Strule Arts Centre face book page for all the details.

The full recording of all live shows will be uploaded to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council You Tube Page soon after the performance where you can view as often as you like with all the family.
