Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to confirm that Enniskillen Town Centre will come alive once again this St Patrick’s Day with the anticipated return of the St Patrick’s Day Festival after a 2 year break.

The celebrations which have been planned with Enniskillen BID and other local venues, will see an exciting day full of music, dance and entertainment for all the family.

Speaking about the St Patrick’s Day festivities in the town, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson said;

“I am delighted that for the first time since 2019, the St Patrick’s Day festivities are returning to the streets of Enniskillen.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to working in partnership with other key stakeholders to improve the quality of life of our residents and to provide the best possible experience for visitors to the district.

Events such as the St Patrick’s Day festivities are key to realising this objective and I am confident that this year’s event will bring a fantastic atmosphere to Enniskillen Town Centre.

I would like to put on record my deepest gratitude to Project St Patrick Committee and all the volunteers who invest so much time in effort into making St Patrick’s Day in Enniskillen such a memorable experience. Unfortunately given the short timeframe, they were unable to put a parade together for this year, but they have promised to be back next year and I would encourage everyone to start making preparations now for 2023”

Town centre entertainment on the street will feature the best of local talent with music from Roslea CCE featuring Blathnaid, Saoirse and Darragh Rooney; and other performers to be confirmed for the celebrations. Irish Dancers Aoife Rooney and Caitlin Flanagan will be performing as well as, Sophie Armstrong from Erne Highland Dancers.

The festivities are not just confined to the town centre as Enniskillen Castle will also be hosting an exciting programme for the whole family with food vendors, market stalls and live music ensuring a fun filled day for everyone.

Entertainment will continue into the evening with so much on offer in the wonderful hospitality and entertainment venues across the Island Town on this global day of celebration.

Project St Patrick have vowed to bring the parade back with a bang in 2023 and have asked that anyone interested in getting involved to register their interest by contacting the committee by email at info@projectstpatrick.com.
