Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh concert in Strule Arts Centre

Well known television personality and award-winning traditional musician and singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh will appear in concert in Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on Thursday 19 September 2019 at 8 pm.
The County Kerry performer will be accompanied on the night by multi-instrumentalists Donal O’ Connor and Gerry O’ Beirne.
Muireann is a leading exponent of the sean-nós style. Her repertoire also includes songs from a wide variety of folk and contemporary sources. She has enjoyed a successful career as a touring artist, with over thirteen years of experience as lead singer and flute player with the Irish traditional supergroup Danú, as well as performing as a solo artist. Muireann has been described by The Irish Times as “One of the earthiest and most distinctive voices, not just in traditional circles, but anywhere.”
Donal O’ Connor has been described by Herald Scotland as a musician whose “winning blend of pace and lyricism transmits his enthusiasm for the music directly to the listener with irresistible impact” while fRoots has described Gerry O’ Beirne as a “sublime talent who opens new creative vistas for acoustic guitar music.”
