Today, 22nd May, marks International Biodiversity Day so to celebrate we are giving away more free wildflower seeds! Our last wildflower seed giveaway was unbeelievably successful, so we got more!!

To claim your free packet of wildflower seeds, please click on the link at the bottom of this webpage and fill in your details.  Community groups can also apply for a group pack of 20 seed packets to distribute safely and locally. Seed packets are for residents of the FODC area only and a limited number are available.

“Biodiversity is the food we eat, the water we drink, and it is also the air we breathe. More than that, biodiversity is part of us, as we humans are part of nature.” – Dr Cristiana Pascal Palmer, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity

So to help celebrate Biodiversity Day, why not help your local biodiversity at home by doing other things to help nature; build your very own bug hotel, let a small patch of your garden grow wild for insects or record what wildlife you see and report it to CEDaR (Centre for Environmental and Data Recording).

Check out our activity ideas, available to download on this webpage, to get you started and don’t forget to send us pictures of your creations!
