Irish course for Secondary School students // Cúrsa Gaeilge do Scoláirí Meánscoile

22nd June 2021

A three-day Irish course for secondary school students will run in Strule Arts Centre, Omagh from Wednesday 7 – Friday 9 July.

With Gaeltacht summer colleges not operating due to Covid-19, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is offering this opportunity to local students to improve their language skills at home.

As well as Irish classes each morning students will also have the opportunity to get a taste of other aspects of Irish culture. This will be provided through afternoon workshops each day in singing, dancing and storytelling.

The course will cost £20, which includes refreshments and light lunch.

For further information about the course please contact Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Irish Language Officer, Kevin Goodwin by email at kevin.goodwin@fermanaghomagh.com or phone 07747 899 249.  Places may also be booked online by visiting the Strule Arts Centre website at www.struleartscentre.com

Cúrsa Gaeilge do Scoláirí Meánscoile

Beidh cúrsa trí lae do scoláirí meánscoile ar siúl in Ionad Ealaíne na Sruthaile, An Ómaigh ó Dé Céadaoin 7 go dtí Dé hAoine 9 Iúil.

Don dara bliain i ndiaidh a chéile ní bheidh cúrsaí Gaeilge ar siúl sna coláistí samhraidh Gaeltachta de dheasca Covid 19.

Tá Comhairle Ceantair Fhear Manach agus na hÓmaí ag soláthair an cúrsa seo mar gheall air sin chun seans a thabhairt do scoláirí áitiúla a gcuid scileanna teanga a fheabhsú sa bhaile.

Chomh maith le freastal ar ranganna gach maidin beidh seans ag scolairí blás a fháil ar ghnéithe eile den chultúr Ghaelach.  Gheobhaidh siad seo ag na ceardlanna a bheidh ar fáil sa scéalaíocht, amhránaíocht agus damhsa gach iarnóin.

£20 an costas a bheas ar an chúrsa, sólaistí agus lón éadrom san áireamh.

Chun tuilleadh eolais a fháil faoin chúrsa, scríobh chuig kevin.goodwin@fermanaghomagh.com nó glaoigh ar 0774 789 9249.  Is féidir áit ar an chúrsa a chur in áirithe ag bit.ly/StruleArtsIrishLanguage.
