Thousands of revellers turned out in Enniskillen and Omagh for the 4th annual Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Halloween Fireworks Spectacular which took place at the OASIS Plaza, Omagh and the Broadmeadow, Enniskillen.

The events included a varied programme of performers, fancy dress competitions, performances of the Michael Jackson classic, “Thriller”, by the Hazel Wand Theatre School on the OASIS Plaza and of course Enniskillen’s Captain Jack Sparrow searching for his crew on the ‘Pirates of the Erne’ Flotilla sailing on the River Erne.

Both events culminated in spectacular fireworks displays much to the delight of the huge crowds in attendance at both locations. Every vantage point was taken as the skies above Strule Arts Centre and Castle Island lit up.

The fireworks spectacular was the finale of a series of events and family activities which had taken place in the Arts Centre and Enniskillen Castle throughout the day.

The Council Chairman, Councillor Howard Thornton and the Council Vice Chair, Councillor John Feely led the countdowns to the fireworks displays in Omagh and Enniskillen respectively.

The events have grown in creativity and size each year with more visitors and local people attending to enjoy the Halloween Fireworks events across the district.

The Council would like to extend its appreciation to its partners in Enniskillen, Waterways Ireland and Enniskillen Bid for their support in delivering such a successful high-quality evening of family entertainment.
