Have your say on improvements to Enniskillen Town Centre

The Department for Communities is investing £4.7 million in the Enniskillen public realm scheme with a further £500,000 being provided by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to improve the appearance and appeal of the town centre.

The proposed design has been developed and approved by the Project Steering Group following consultation with members of the public and key stakeholders. The Project Steering Group comprises Councillors from the Enniskillen District Electoral Area working in partnership with town centre business representatives. Members include Councillors Debbie Coyle (Chair), Paul Blake, Keith Elliott, Robert Irvine, Tommy Maguire and Howard Thornton and six representatives of the local business community Roci Allen, Joe Kelly, Nuala Lilley, Noelle McAloon, Jonathan Poots and Jonathan Styles.  A representative of South West Ageing Partnership, Valerie Brown, also attends the Steering Group.

The Enniskillen public realm scheme will include improvements to footpaths, street lighting, landscaping and street furniture within the town centre.

The designs are currently on display in the Townhall, Enniskillen and are also available to view on the gallery section of this webpage. Members of the public can submit their feedback online about the proposed design until 5pm, Wednesday 20 June 2018.

The feedback will then be considered by the design team to finalise the proposed design which will be submitted for planning approval in July 2018.
