Final call for applications for the first Coach Club Session

As part of its Coach Education Programme 2019 – 2020, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in partnership with Sport Northern Ireland, has organised various Coach Club Sessions which will be facilitated by leading coaching experts.

The first Coach Club Session will take place on Wednesday 6 November 2019 at the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown from 7pm – 9pm and costs £5. The renowned skills acquisition specialist, Dr Ed Coughlan, will be the guest speaker.

Dr Coughlan is a Lecturer in Sport Science and Coaching Science at Cork Institute of Technology and has worked as a consultant with a wide range of national governing bodies, including Cricket Ireland, Tennis Ireland, Irish Rugby and others. This session will focus on how coaches can implement effective skill development practice into their coaching sessions.

Speaking about the forthcoming Coach Club Session, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhán Currie said;

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to host the first session as part of the Coach Club initiative. I would encourage sporting enthusiasts, coaches and volunteers to avail of the opportunity to attend the seminars which will further enhance their knowledge and understanding of the various topics to develop their coaching expertise.”
