Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to announce that the Enniskillen 10k will take place in June 2021 and will be delivered virtually.

The Enniskillen 10k, which is held annually in June, has unfortunately once again been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and for a second consecutive year, there will be no live event.

However, the Enniskillen 10K will take place virtually between Saturday 5 June 2021 and Sunday 20 June 2021. Participants must complete the 10k distance in a suitable location in accordance with current government advice and guidance regarding COVID-19 at that time.

Speaking about the forthcoming virtual event, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Diana Armstrong said;

“There is no doubt the Covid-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges for us all and has resulted in businesses and organisations looking at new and innovative ways to undertake their core operations. Events where mass gatherings are the norm have been particularly impacted and unfortunately one such event to fall victim to the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus is the very popular Enniskillen 10K.

While the sense of togetherness and camaraderie that the mass event generates will not be present this year, I am nonetheless delighted that the 2021 event is taking place albeit virtually and I would urge all participants to adhere to the advice in place at the time with regard to restrictions when completing their 10k run.”

Timings and evidence of distance from Strava, Garmin or any other tracking device or app must be submitted no later than 10.00 am on Monday 21 June 2021 for inclusion within the overall Enniskillen 10k results which will be published via the Council website before the end of June 2021.

Registration for the virtual Enniskillen 10k will be available via the Council website from Monday 29 March 2021.
