Council warns of suspicious emails

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has been made aware of some of our customers and service users receiving emails from bogus Council employees which requests recipients to click on a link and insert a password.

These emails should be deleted and no details should be entered – the Council will never ask anyone to enter a password – we never have any requirement to do so.

If however you have opened an email and proceeded to put in your password then recipients should change their password immediately.

If in doubt on whether an email is genuine, do not open the email and contact the Council officer that the email appears to have been sent by to check its authenticity.
