Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is hosting its annual GrangeFest free family fun day at the Grange Park, Omagh on Saturday 22 June from 1.00pm – 4.00pm.

The extensive entertainment programme features performances including music, dance, signing, magic and juggling as well as toddler activities, arts and sport.

Speaking about the event, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhán Currie said,

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is fortunate to have at its disposal such a wonderful shared space as the award winning Grange Park in which to host GrangeFest which is now well established in the Council’s annual events programme. GrangeFest is its flagship outdoor summer event and like all outdoor events, we are at the mercy of the weather. However, I am confident that, like last year’s event, a large crowd will turn out to enjoy a fabulous fun, free, family day.”

14ft long T-Rex named ‘Jay’ and his little sister ‘Roxie’ will be making a special appearance on the day with their Dino Wranglers. Jay will be roaring, blinking, stomping and swishing his way around the park to meet and greet everyone. Moana and Little Mermaid will be singing your favourite songs and taking part in games and activities. LAST Sure Start and Omagh Early Years will have activities for toddlers and younger children. St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band, Mr Magic and Oscar the Magic Monkey, Dance Revelation, Babcock and Bobbins Juggling Act and the Good Relations Project involving local young people will also be performing on stage.

Visitors to the event are encouraged to immerse themselves in the Grange Park with its beautiful open spaces, play park and outdoor gym. There are plenty of activities on offer including kite making, football darts, climbing wall, hula hooping and cage soccer. There will also be face painting and balloon modelling with Duff Balloons. Make a day of it by bringing a picnic or enjoying food on offer from a selection of food vendors. All entertainment and activities will take place within Grange Park.

For those who may require some time out during the event there will be a quiet room within the Grange building. Car parking is available at Grange Park as well as other town centre car parks. There are a number of blue badge parking spaces at the Grange Car Park.
