Council to be updated on draft programme of works for the area by the Department for Infrastructure

There will be a a Special Council meeting tonight (Monday 19 November 2018) at 7pm in the Townhall, to receive an update from the Department for Infrastructure on its draft programme of works for Local Transport and Safety Measures, Bridges and Street Lighting 2019-2021 for the Fermanagh and Omagh District.

Council Members will be briefed by representatives from the Department for Infrastructure, which has overall responsibility for the maintenance of public roads, pavements and street lighting in Northern Ireland, on proposed infrastructure schemes for the Fermanagh and Omagh District for 2019-2021 to include carriageways, sightlines, footways and cycle ways, traffic calming and safety measures, bridges and street lighting.

There will also be an update on the progress of the Department for Infrastructure’s current programme of planned works 2018-2019 for the Fermanagh and Omagh District. Councillors will take the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed projects and raise key issues to Department for Infrastructure officials on behalf of the District’s ratepayers.
