Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is reminding citizens of EU member states (other than Irish citizens), EEA member states and Swiss nationals that they and their family members will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to stay in the UK after 30 June 2021 and to retain the benefits they currently enjoy.

As part of the agreement to leave the European Union, the UK government reached an agreement with the EU and EEA member states, and Switzerland that protects the rights of those citizens and their family members from those countries, living in Northern Ireland before 31 December 2020.
