Council offers sponsorship opportunities for floral displays across the district

16th July 2019

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council works tirelessly throughout the year to prepare and maintain planting schemes, flowerbeds and containers around the towns and villages across the district. During the summer months these bright and colourful planting schemes enhance the local environment and make the district more welcoming.

The Council is once again inviting local businesses and charities to help to enhance the floral displays and improve the local environment by providing financial sponsorship for the maintenance and upkeep of the roundabouts and floral displays on the approach roads to the Towns and Villages across the district.

Speaking about the sponsorship opportunities, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhán Currie said;

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council firmly believes in the benefits of working in partnership with other key stakeholders on initiatives which make the district a great place to live, work and visit. The success of the towns and villages across the district in competitions such as Ulster in Bloom and the Best Kept awards are proof that this approach delivers positive results. I would encourage local businesses and charities to avail of this opportunity not only to help instil a sense of pride in the local community but also to promote your business by creating brand awareness and maintain high profile advertising through the erection of small advertising signage at your location.”

The Council will continue to be responsible for the planting and maintenance of the area during the sponsorship period. Sponsorship documents are available to download below or by clicking here.

The closing date and time for receipt of completed sponsorship documents is 12 noon on Wednesday 31 July 2019.
