Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in partnership with Disability Sport Northern Ireland (DSNI), has organised an ‘Inclusive Activity Sports Hub’ as part of its Inclusive Leisure programme.

The Inclusive Activity Sports Hub programme which is suitable for those aged 8 years and over with disabilities will commence at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen on Monday 17 September 2018 at 4pm. Each session will last for approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.

Speaking about the forthcoming programme, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Howard Thornton said;

“Being physically active is important for our health and well-being. Involvement in physical activity from a young age can help develop and encourage life-long participation in activities which will support a healthy and active lifestyle. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has worked in partnership with the voluntary, statutory and business sectors to deliver programmes which add to the quality of life of all the residents of the district and is delighted to be working, once again, with Disability Sport Northern Ireland to provide this excellent opportunity for our young residents.”

The Inclusive Activity Sports Hub programme will provide participants with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and activities, such as boccia, kurling, wheelchair activities, goalball and various others. Participants will pay a nominal fee each week with sessions being delivered by fully qualified coaches.

Kevin O’Neill, Chief Executive of Disability Sport NI comments,
