Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is inviting members of the public to get involved in an online consultation in relation to the development of a Place Brand for both Enniskillen and Omagh towns next year.

The Council wishes to develop brands that reflect the uniqueness of each town.

Once developed, the proposed brands will be used to support town centre recovery and can be used by local stakeholders in the business, tourism, education, community sectors as well as the wider community who live, work, shop, and visit the two towns.  It is hoped that both town residents and the wider population across the business, tourism, and community sectors, will contribute their views.

Commenting on the brand consultation for Enniskillen and Omagh, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Cllr Diana Armstrong said:

“The Council wants to create a Place Brand for both our main towns of Enniskillen and Omagh.  We are especially keen to engage with key stakeholders across business, tourism and communities to work together collectively to establish a brand for each main town, which is joined up in its thinking and its approach.  We want the brands to embrace our unique towns as assets, reflecting their value and our aspirations for the future.

We are keen to engage with as many stakeholders as possible to secure their views on the role of new place brands for both Enniskillen and Omagh, and in capturing and reflecting the elements of both towns which are essential for us to consider when taking this brand development project forward.  I would encourage everyone to get involved and help us shape these important assets within the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, an area in which we all share a deep sense of pride.”
