Council illuminates buildings on various dates in March

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will illuminate Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on various dates throughout the month of March.

On Wednesday 8 March both Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated purple to mark International Women’s Day which is an annual day to celebrates women’s achievements and to raise awareness of and accelerate gender equality. This year’s theme is ‘Embrace Equity’.

On Saturday 11 March, both buildings will be illuminated red in recognition of European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism to remember victims of terrorism across the world.

Enniskillen Castle will be illuminated red to mark the 10 year anniversary of Fermanagh Early Intervention Family Support Hub on Wednesday 15 March. Family support hubs signpost to early intervention family support services for vulnerable families and children aged 0-18.

Tuesday 21 March is World Down Syndrome Day, to mark this Enniskillen Castle will be illuminated blue and Strule Arts Centre will be illuminated yellow. World Down Syndrome day was created to celebrate the lives of people with Downs Syndrome and to make sure they have the same freedoms and opportunities as everyone else.

On Thursday 23 March Strule Arts Centre will be illuminated red to mark the 10 year anniversary of Omagh Early Intervention Family Support Hub. The aim of the Hub is to ensure that families in need of support can choose the right help from the right service at the right time
