As part of its Spring activity programme, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is organising an inclusive walk to encourage members of the public to get out and get active.

The walk will take place on Monday 27 April 2020 at the Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen from 10.00am.

The inclusive walk is dedicated to those with disabilities and is wheelchair accessible, however, wheelchair users will require assistance along various lengths of the route.

Speaking about the forthcoming inclusive walking event, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhan Currie, said;

“One of the key outcomes of the Fermanagh and Omagh Community Plan 2030 is to ensure that all the people of the district are healthy and well – physically, emotionally and mentally. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council recognises the benefits of leading an active lifestyle and I am delighted that this inclusive walking event affords residents, who have limited mobility, the opportunity to get out and enjoy not only the picturesque setting but also the social element of the walk.”

Registration for places is available from 9am on Monday 17 February 2020. Places on the inclusive walk are limited with places allocated on a first come, first served basis.
