Fermanagh and Omagh Community Planning Partnership has recently published its 2021 Statement of Progress. It sets out what the Partnership has achieved to date while working to improve public services and support a better quality of life for all in our district.

An Executive Summary, which is available in a printed version, includes narrative on 6 key outcomes and priorities from the Community Plan and provides an update regarding progress towards their delivery alongside updated data for 35 performance indicators.

The Executive Summary also outlines the enhancement of effective working relationships between partner organisations from across the public, private and community/voluntary sectors. This includes examples of the adaptation of local services and new delivery models developed since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson commented, “Covid-19 has changed so much within our communities. Some of the most vulnerable in our society were disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Through rapid response and economic support and health initiatives, our partnership has learned many lessons on how to address the evolving needs of our communities.”

Chair of the Community Planning Partnership, Councillor John Coyle said “our shared vision is of a welcoming and inclusive Fermanagh and Omagh district, where people and places are healthy, safe, connected, and prosperous. Through these collaborative ways of working, we can drive real change in rapidly changing circumstances.  This agile approach continues to be needed as we aim to restore services as we recover from the pandemic and as we face difficult economic and health challenges during 2022”.
