Female entrepreneurs across the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area are invited to sign up to the ‘Imagine It’ Bootcamp taking place on Wednesday 5 June 2019 from 10.00am – 4.00pm at Omagh Enterprise Company.

The bootcamp is part of a new three-year female enterprise programme, ‘Yes You Can’, which aims to increase the number of women considering starting a business and to encourage existing female entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.

The ‘Yes You Can’ programme is a collaboration between the 11 local councils, Invest NI and Women in Business with the programme being delivered by Women in Business across Northern Ireland on behalf of the councils.

The ‘Imagine It’ Bootcamp is free and open to all female entrepreneurs including those who haven’t started trading yet, have an idea or would like to explore business.

A range of speakers will share their business learnings at the bootcamp and there will be also an opportunity to ask the speakers questions on the challenges they have faced and overcome throughout their careers.

Speaking about the ‘Imagine It’ Bootcamp, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhán Currie, said:

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to supporting entrepreneurship in the district and is pleased to work in partnership with Invest NI and Women in Business to support and promote female entrepreneurship.

This event will provide locally based female business owners and budding entrepreneurs with the opportunity to meet likeminded women and share knowledge and ideas.”

The ‘Yes You Can’ female entrepreneurship programme launched earlier this year, with its first event taking place in Fermanagh Enterprise, Enniskillen. This event focussed on business networking and provided those in attendance with the opportunity to hear from guest speaker and local entrepreneur, Shauna Gallagher, founder of The Natural Beauty Pot in Enniskillen, on her business journey and experience.

Lesley O’Hanlon, Head of Programmes with Women in Business said

“Women in Business were delighted to host the Yes You Can networking event in Enniskillen, there has been a great response from female entrepreneurs in the Fermanagh and Omagh areas. The Yes You Can programme offers support to all female entrepreneurs, if you are a pre-start or early stage start up business, please register for the event on 5 June in Omagh, all Yes You Can events are fully funded by the Council, Invest NI and Women in Business.”

Those attending the bootcamp on 5 June 2019 will also have the opportunity to find out more about the three year ‘Yes You Can’ programme which includes a range of motivational and supportive events and programmes including:
