Fermanagh and Omagh District Council have partnered with Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP) and Devenish Partnership Forum to deliver a free workshop to give you a chance to do your bit for biodiversity on the Saturday the 9th October 2021 at Devenish Partnership Forum Nature Reserve.

Join us to Bee a Biodiversity Hero, enjoy some time outdoors in a wonderful setting and learn about local biodiversity and pollinators. You will get to;

  • Plant crocus bulbs to support pollinators in early spring. By planting crocuses in drifts during autumn, we can provide loads of pollen and nectar for pollinators to feed on in early spring
  • Learn to identify trees and how to grow your own trees from seed! Through seed collection of native trees, we aim to raise awareness of the role trees play in carbon sequestration and providing habitat for important species

FODC are taking action for biodiversity to help protect and promote local habitats and species.
Through funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, LELP are supporting communities to protect, enhance and conserve the unique biodiversity of the Lough Erne Landscape.

Places are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.  Please email biodiversity@fermanaghomagh.com to register and for more information
