The exhibition, ‘Veritas Vincet’, celebrating Omagh Academy’s 120th anniversary launched on Thursday 29 February 2024 at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, and is on display for everyone to enjoy until Saturday 23 March 2024.

Staff, pupils and alumni of Omagh Academy celebrated the school’s 120th anniversary at the launch event, taking a trip down memory lane and discovering more about life at Omagh Academy, provider of secondary school education in Omagh since 1903.

The exhibition is an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and to find out more about school life. The school has launched an Alumni and Friends Association in recent months and has reconnected with past pupils and colleagues.

Opening this exhibition, Vice Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Cllr. Ann-Marie Donnelly, said,

“Congratulations to Omagh Academy on reaching this significant milestone. This exhibition will evoke many memories for past pupils of the school. It is also a time to celebrate how the school has evolved and progressed over the years, instilling pride in all those who had connections with the school, including the current staff and pupils.

On behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, and on my own behalf, I would like to commend all the staff, past and present, and pupils on all your achievements over the years and I wish the school every success for the future.”

The exhibition runs from Friday 1 March – Saturday 23 March 2024 at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh and is open 9.30am – 5pm, from Monday to Saturday. Admission is free.
