Roads reopen as water levels continue to fall

Published: 21st December 2015

The latest updates from Rivers Agency and Transport NI show that Lough Erne water levels are continuing to fall and generally all roads, which were closed due to flooding, are now passable with care.

Residents who were isolated due to flooding should now be able to make journeys to and from their homes. Therefore the welfare assistance scheme provided through the multi-agency response is no longer required and has been suspended.

The welfare assistance telephone number – 07711 388 566 – has reverted back to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s on-call number which is operational throughout the year. However, if anyone continues to be affected by the increased Lough levels and requires welfare assistance, they can call this number and the Council will signpost them on to the relevant organisations.
