Irish Language Activities Resume in Strule Arts Centre

Published: 21st April 2017

Irish language classes and activities will resume in the Strule Arts Centre on Wednesday 26 April 2017 and run until Wednesday 15 June 2017.

Activities begin with the Sean-nós and Set Dancing class which runs from 6.00 pm– 7.00 pm catering for dancers of all abilities. It is an enjoyable social activity and a great way of keeping fit.  This is followed from 7pm – 8pm by the Singing in Irish group.  The group regularly performs in concerts and events both in the Strule Arts Centre and at other venues  and is also a very effective way of learning Irish.  Irish language classes for learners at beginner, improver and advanced levels will take place from 8pm – 9:30pm.

The cost of the dancing class and Irish language class for 8 weeks is £15 while the Singing in Irish activity is a free event.  For further information on these classes and all of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Irish language events please contact Kevin Goodwin at kevin.goodwin@fermanaghomagh.com or telephone 0300 303 1777 (all calls charged at local rate).
