Higher Bridges Gallery to host 9th 1FT SQ art exhibition

The 9th 1 FT SQ exhibition will open at the Higher Bridges Gallery, Enniskillen on Friday 16 December 2016 at 7 pm.

The exhibition, which will be officially launched by the Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Mary Garrity, will showcase a diverse collection of more than 150 artworks, all measuring one foot square each in size.

In the autumn, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council issued an open call to the arts community to exhibit in this year’s 1FT SQ exhibition with more than 70 new, emerging, established and professional artists from the island of Ireland submitting works for exhibition and sale.

1 FT SQ opens at 7 pm on Friday 16 December 2016 at the Higher Bridges Gallery which is located in the Clinton Centre, Belmore Street, Enniskillen. Everyone welcome.

The exhibition will continue at the gallery until Saturday 21 January 2017.

Well-known community choir, ‘Together One Voice’ will also sing a capella at the official opening of the exhibition.

The opening times of the gallery are Tuesday to Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. The gallery will be closed over the Christmas period from Friday 23 December 2016 and will reopen on Tuesday 3 January 2017. Admission to the gallery is free.

We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review. This position may change depending on weather conditions.
