Enniskillen Castle to turn purple for Queen’s 90th birthday

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is illuminating Enniskillen Castle purple on Thursday 21 April 2016 to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Enniskillen Castle will be lit purple as part of Enniskillen Rotary Club’s activities to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday. Other Enniskillen Rotary Club activities will include a Birthday Beacon event organised in conjunction with local churches and an interdenominational service of thanksgiving at St Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen, both taking place on the evening of 21 April.

The lighting up of Council buildings to mark specific days of significance is one way in which the Council may provide support to a particular charity.

We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review.
