Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk results

Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk, organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, attracted more than 600 runners and walkers on Saturday 8 June 2019.

The 10K route started and finished at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum and brought participants through Enniskillen to the National Trust’s Castle Coole estate, around the Killyhevlin Industrial Estate, up the Ardhowen Hill, towards Derrychara playing fields and back over the Millennium footbridge and across the finish line.

Eskander Turki from Belfast was the overall winner and first in the Male Open and 25 – 29 age category in a time of 32 minutes and 41 seconds. Jake O’Regan from Sligo finished second overall in the Male Open and was second in the 25 – 29 age category with a time of 33 minutes and 34 seconds whilst Tommy Hughes from Magherafelt took third overall in the Male Open and first in the 50 – 59 age category with a time of 34 minutes and 06 seconds.

Heather Kelly from Newtownards claimed first place in the Female Open and 50 – 59 age categories with a winning time of 41 minutes and 05 seconds.

Brookeborough’s Paula Donnelly finished second overall in the Female Open and first in the 35 – 39 age category with a time of 41 minutes and 47 seconds and Kelda Gibson from Lifford completed the podium in the Female Open and was also the first finisher home in the 40 – 44 age category with a time of 43 minutes and 26 seconds.

The ever popular kiddies’ fun run also took place at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum before the 10k road race and leisure walk, with each participant receiving a medal.
