Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk – Results

Almost 800 people took part in the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk on Saturday 13 June 2015.

The event got under way at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum with free children’s entertainment at 11am, followed by a children’s fun run at 12pm. All of the children who took part in the fun run received a medal and refreshments afterwards.

At 2pm, almost 800 walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels gathered at the starting line for the day’s main event, the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk.

Stephen Duncan from Omagh won the race with a time of 32 minutes, 16 seconds, winning £150 and a Belleek Living photo frame.

Other winners on the day were Stephen Cassidy from Irvinestown, who finished second with a time of 35 minutes, 1 second and Brian Young from Banbridge who finished third with a time of 36 minutes, 3 seconds.

The 10k route started at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum and took participants through Enniskillen to the National Trust’s Castle Coole estate, around the Killyhevlin Industrial Estate, up the Ardhowen Hill, towards Derrychara playing fields, over the Millennium footbridge and across the finish line at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum.

The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk is funded by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and organised in partnership with Enniskillen Rotary Club and the National Trust.

Due to the amber weather warning, all Council offices and facilities are closed for the remainder of today, Monday 16 October 2017. We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review. This position may change depending on weather conditions.
