Determination for a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the Fermanagh and Omagh Community Plan

Published: 1st April 2016

This is the formal determination published by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council which considers the legislative duties contained in ‘the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulation (Northern Ireland) 2004′ in conjunction with the Community Plan.

It was considered by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council that a SEA is required for the new Community Plan, as it falls under the scope of Section 5 (1) of the legislation and is likely to have significant environmental effects. This decision was confirmed by the Consultation Authority, Department of the Environment, Northern Ireland Environment Agency on 10 March 2016.
