Details of Enniskillen 10K announced

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s first Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk, supported by Enniskillen Rotary Club and the National Trust, will take place on Saturday 13 June 2015.

The race, which has a £1,500 prize fund, will start at 2pm at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen.

Participants can register for the event online at www.enniskillen10k.com.

Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am delighted to launch Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s first Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk.
The Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk is one of the district’s largest mass participation events with participants coming from near and far to take part.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to encouraging everyone in the district to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle and the Road Race and Leisure Walk is an event in which the entire family can participate.
We look forward to welcoming local residents and visitors to Enniskillen for the 10K event on 13 June.”

Participants can start to make preparations for this year’s event by taking part in the Enniskillen Parkrun, a weekly 5K running and walking event which takes place at Castle Coole, National Trust estate, Enniskillen on Saturday mornings, to improve fitness levels. Due to the amber weather warning, all Council offices and facilities are closed for the remainder of today, Monday 16 October 2017. We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review. This position may change depending on weather conditions.
