Council publishes Corporate Improvement Plan

Published: 22nd June 2016

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Chairperson, Councillor Mary Garrity, recently launched the Council’s 2016-2017 Corporate Improvement Plan.

The Council’s Corporate Improvement Plan 2016/17 sets out what we will do in the year ahead to deliver on our statutory duty to secure continuous improvement and to achieve improvement against at least one of the seven specified aspects of improvement. It also outlines the arrangements to ensure that any statutory performance standards are met.

The Corporate Improvement Plan has been developed with the needs of residents, businesses and visitors in mind. It has been directly informed by the ongoing work with partners and stakeholders to develop a Community Plan for the area and by the Council’s Corporate Plan 2015-19, as well as through a dedicated public consultation process.

The Council’s Corporate Improvement Plan for the financial year 2016-17 is available to download from the ‘Corporate Plan’ section of our website- fermanaghomagh.com. Hard copies are available on request or may be collected at Council facilities across the district.

Commenting on the launch of the Corporate Improvement Plan, Councillor Garrity said: “Councils now have a statutory duty to improve both their service delivery and their efficiency. The publication of our Improvement Plan for the year ensures that the residents of the district are informed of the standards the Council is striving to meet, and how we will meet our targets”.
